The Orangeburg Prep Indians put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 49-28 margin over Northside Christian Academy. Orangeburg Prep has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.
Despite the defeat, Northside Christian Academy had strong showings from Arabella Yaroszewski, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds, and Natalie Walke, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Walke hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleigh Howell, who scored five points.
Orangeburg Prep's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for Northside Christian Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
Orangeburg Prep will take on Carolina Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Carolina Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Orangeburg Prep is ranked 18th). As for Northside Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Greenwood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
