Football Recap: Fremont's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Fremont extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 5-1. They put the hurt on the Northridge Knights with a sharp 35-13 victory. Given the Silverwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Knights are ranked 60th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Manase Tuatagaloa produced another solid performance rushing for 104 yards and one score, while also throwing for 249 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 104 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cade Hadley, who gained 136 total yards and a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fremont was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 200 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northridge only rushed for 75 rushing yards.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Fremont, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Triston Mann, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

As for Northridge, their record now sits at 1-4. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Fremont: they've now lost seven in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Northridge lost, don't look at Liam Fresques. Despite the final result, he threw for 138 yards and two TDs while completing 81.5% of his passes.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fremont will host Farmington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 945 yards in their previous games. As for Northridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Field at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Longhorns have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
