Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Sewickley Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 55-54 to the Linville Hill Warriors. Sewickley Academy's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

It was another big night for Stephen Smucker, who went 8-for-10 to rack up 22 points and six rebounds for Linville Hill. Smucker's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Tibbins, who posted ten points and six assists.

Sewickley Academy's loss dropped their record down to 24-5. As for Linville Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Sewickley Academy nor Linville Hill have any future games scheduled.
