The Boulder City Eagles will face off against the Green Valley Gators at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Boulder City will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
On Friday, Boulder City was able to grind out a solid win over Spring Valley, taking the game 6-3.
Gavin Robinson was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Robinson was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gauge Rhodes, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Karter Law also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Boulder City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .368 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Green Valley faced Shadow Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Gators walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Mustangs.
Like Boulder City, Green Valley also got a great game from a two-way player: Maddix Kaye. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Kaye was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other pitching news, Gavin Christensen looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Dylon Murphy was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Jet McNelis was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Boulder City's record now sits at 3-5. As for Green Valley, their record is now 6-4.
