Meanwhile, Christ the King Cathedral strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 60-24 win over Annapolis Christian Academy. 60 seems to be a good number for the Golden Lions as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Matthew Sisneros and John Sisneros. Matthew threw for 198 yards and four touchdowns while John gained 183 total yards and four touchdowns. What's more, John posted three rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September.
One reason for the win was Christ the King Cathedral's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Eric Carroll refused to say out of the backfield, picking up three sacks all by himself. Christ the King Cathedral got some further help from Carroll: he picked up three sacks, made four total tackles, and defended one pass.
Azle Christian's record is now 8-2. As for Christ the King Cathedral, their record now sits at 10-0.
