Farragut won the last time they faced Westinghouse and things went their way on Friday too. The Admirals put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 25-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Admirals, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Alex Barrera made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Farragut has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Westinghouse, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Farragut will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
