The Prattville Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 75-65 to Pelham. While losing is never fun, Prattville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Pelham is ranked 43rd).
When it comes to explaining why Prattville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ty Bryant. Despite the final result, he scored 30 points. Bryant scored a full 46.2% of Prattville's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jess Smyth, who scored 15 points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prattville will take on Dothan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dothan has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 451 points over their last six matches. As for Pelham, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bessemer City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bessemer City is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
