McQueen hasn't had much luck against Reno recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lancers will face off against the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Tuesday, McQueen didn't have too much trouble with North Valleys as they won 68-52. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

McQueen found their leader in sophomore AJ Spevak, who dropped a triple-double with 30 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 steals. The game was Spevak's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Chance Gold, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 23 points.
Meanwhile, Reno faced Spanish Springs in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Huskies came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 70-57.
McQueen better keep an eye on Crew Higgins. He was instrumental in Reno's win, dropping a double-double with 22 points and ten boards. Higgins is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last nine games he's played. Eric Platz was another key player, going 9-for-18 on his way to 21 points and seven assists.
Reno smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 13 consecutive contests.
Reno's record now sits at 20-4. As for McQueen, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Spevak and Platz. Spevak has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 17.2 points, 3.5 steals, and 9 rebounds. For his part, Platz has averaged 15.3 points, 1.8 steals, and 4.7 assists on 50.7% shooting.
McQueen couldn't quite get it done against Reno in their previous meeting back in January as they fell 77-64. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
