The McCook Bison were the 48-28 winner over the Chadron Cardinals when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. McCook took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chadron on Friday.
Quinn Bailey was his usual excellent self, rushing for 189 yards and three touchdowns. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played.
McCook now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Chadron, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
McCook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chadron will head out on the road to face off against Ashland-Greenwood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Ashland-Greenwood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chadron in Nebraska (Ashland-Greenwood is ranked sixth, while Chadron is ranked 56th).
