Gross Catholic hasn't had much luck against South Sioux City recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Gross Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Nebraska City on Friday as Gross Catholic made off with a 5-2 victory. It was an even better day for Christian Monico as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, South Sioux City fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Lexington on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 3-1 to the Minutemen. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Gross Catholic pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three contests. As for South Sioux City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Gross Catholic might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from South Sioux City in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can Gross Catholic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
