Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask San Diego). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Agua Dulce Longhorns  a   13-0 shutout  on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Vaqueros with their most commanding win of the  season.
 Landon Sanchez was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. Sanchez was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Omar Aleman was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-3.  Brian Ramirez was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 San Diego was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .476. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in February of 2024.
San Diego is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record  this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Agua Dulce and  nudges their season record down to 1-3.
 Coming up, San Diego will take on George West at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Agua Dulce, they will square off against Freer at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
