After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Battle Ground Academy, the Davidson Academy Bears were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They managed a 51-47 win over Mount Juliet Christian Academy. The win was all the more spectacular given Davidson Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Mount Juliet Christian Academy is ranked 100th).
Mount Juliet Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Christian Frewin and Jamie Edgerton. Frewin scored 14 points, while Edgerton scored 10 points. Frewin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played.
Davidson Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 2-4. As for Mount Juliet Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Donelson Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Davidson Academy will host Donelson Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Mount Juliet Christian Academy will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
