The Prairie Heights Panthers were the 49-28 winner over the Eastside Blazers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Prairie Heights took a 48-34 bruising from Eastside on Saturday. Prairie Heights can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their five games.
Despite the loss, Prairie Heights saw an underclassman step up: Cade Bachelor scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds. Jake Stoy was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 3 steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Loden Johnson, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Clayton Minnick, who scored 13 points.
Prairie Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Eastside, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Prairie Heights will head out on the road to face off against South Bend Career Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Bend Career Academy is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Eastside, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lakewood Park Christian at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Lakewood Park Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
