The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wheaton-Warrenville South, who took down 37th ranked Wheaton-Warrenville South, 24-13.
Glenbard East moved up to 304 from 365 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in DuPage Valley. The Rams climbed the ranks as a result of a 57-7 win over the Rams.
Glenbard East's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Joe Kotch threw for 87 and one touchdown and Dan Ryan had 27 yards receiving. On the ground Kotch chipped in 28 yards. Brandon Havenga helped Glenbard East's passing attack out by catching one ball for 22 yards.
Glenbard East's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kotch has thrown for 1134 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Malysha Flanders has 17 catches for 374 yards. Kotch also leads the league in rushing with 301 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Naperville North takes on John Walters's team. The Huskies' offense has scored 96 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Rams have allowed only 241 on the year.
A big matchup in DuPage Valley this week will be when Glenbard North takes on Central. At the moment, the Panthers are in second, while the Red Hawks are in third.
There should be lots of points scored when Naperville North and Glenbard East face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Sean Drendel's team comes in having scored 96 this season, while the Rams have scored 89. The Huskies scored 35 points last week as they defeated West Chicago.
Central was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. Mike Stine's team beat the Tigers 24-13 earlier in the week.
