Softball Recap: Durham Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Durham lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Enterprise, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's contest. The Trojans' pitcher stepped up to hand the Hornets an 11-0 shutout on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won three games in a row.

Sadie Sjolund made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Sjolund was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Annalee Horn, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Maggie Sjolund also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Durham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Durham's record is now 3-1. As for Enterprise, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Durham didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Trinity on the 14th. Enterprise has also already played their next game (against Hoopa Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
