On Friday, The Westminster Lions got themselves on the board against the Ocean View Seahawks, but the Ocean View Seahawks never followed suit. They really took it to the Seahawks for the full four quarters, racking up a 28-0 win on the road. The victory was nothing new for Westminster as they're now sitting on four straight.
Benny Burns ii looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 75 yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Jason Mejia also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Westminster's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points per game. As for Ocean View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westminster will take on Laguna Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Laguna Beach is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Ocean View, they will be playing at home against Godinez Fundamental at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Godinez Fundamental is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
