The Milford Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Millard Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Milford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Milford turned things around against Water Canyon on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 28-5 margin over the Wildcats. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the game before.

Haze Marshall was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Milford is 3-1 when Marshall posts two or more runs, but 2-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Slade Kesler, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Milford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Millard fell victim to South Summit and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Wildcats. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.
Millard saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sawyer Stevens, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Milford's record is now 5-9. As for Millard, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Millard's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Milford has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .455. It's a different story for Millard, though, as they've only averaged .356. Will they be able to contain Milford's hitters?
Milford couldn't quite finish off Millard in their previous meeting back in March and fell 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
