After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Superior, Spooner was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Unity Eagles a 2-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Griffin Walt and Simon Hedlund scored both of Spooner's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Spooner's win bumped their record up to 6-10-1. As for Unity, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1.

Spooner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Unity, they will face off against Ashland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
