Basketball Recap: Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri Beats St. Vincent De Paul Academy for Their Third Straight Victory

Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 3-0. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 43-38 W against the St. Vincent de Paul Academy Hawks. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Vincent de Paul Academy fell to 4-1. The loss was their first of the season.

St. Vincent de Paul Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Leo Hodal, who shot 44% from the field on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Greene, who posted four points and ten rebounds.

Looking ahead, Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri will face off against Midland Adventist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Vincent de Paul Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-23 win against Frontier STEM on the 10th.
