Carolina M has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will square off against the Cresset Christian Academy Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Hopefully Carolina M focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
Last Friday, Carolina M earned a 39-32 victory over Vandalia Christian.
Carolina M's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abigail Faison, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Faison is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Catie Alexander was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Cresset Christian Academy humbled North Hills Christian with a 75-14 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-11.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cresset Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jada Bryant, who scored 24 points. The contest was Bryant's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Jefferson, who scored 19 points.
Carolina M's victory bumped their season record to 3-0 while Vandalia Christian's loss dropped theirs to 2-2.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's match: Carolina M have been dynamite from deep this season, having only made 32.7% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Cresset Christian Academy, though, as they've only made 0% of theirs this season. Given Carolina M's sizeable advantage in that area, Cresset Christian Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
Carolina M strolled past Cresset Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 60-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carolina M since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
