Ironton (Ohio) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 14-7 victory over
Amanda-Clearcreek (Amanda, Ohio) on Saturday. The Fighting Tigers took the lead for good when
Tristan Cox ran for a touchdown.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run, the Aces went into halftime with a 7-0 lead. The Fighting Tigers scored the winning points with a touchdown run by Cox that came in the fourth quarter.
Amanda-Clearcreek's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the second quarter.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 12-9 win for Ironton.
The defeat comes as a step back for Amanda-Clearcreek, which notched a 24-0 victory over Zane Trace in its previous outing.
