The Bemidji Lumberjacks are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Elk River Elks at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st. Bemidji knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Elk River likes a good challenge.
Even though Park Rapids scored an imposing 68 points on Tuesday, Bemidji still came out on top. Bemidji managed a 74-68 win over Park Rapids. The win was all the more spectacular given Bemidji's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Park Rapids is ranked 128th).
Meanwhile, even though Champlin Park scored an imposing 64 points on Friday, Elk River still came out on top. Elk River escaped with a win against Champlin Park by the margin of a single free throw, 65-64. The win made it back-to-back wins for Elk River.
Bemidji's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Elk River, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Bemidji didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Elk River in their previous meeting back in March, but they still walked away with a 54-49 win. Will Bemidji repeat their success, or does Elk River have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
