The De Anza Dons won the last time they faced the Swett Warriors, and things went their way on Wednesday too. De Anza breezed by Swett at home to the tune of 74-40. With De Anza ahead 56-15 at the half, the match was all but over already.
De Anza found their leader in underclassman Ahmari Otis, who scored 24 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Otis has scored at least 25% of De Anza's points. Another player making a difference was Christopher Smith, who scored 9 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for De Anza and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Swett, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
De Anza won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Acalanes at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Hopefully Acalanes focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Saturday. As for Swett, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Albany at 7:00 p.m. Albany presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Swett in California (Albany is ranked 426th, while Swett is ranked 965th).
