Norfolk Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Christal Harris, who scored 11 points, and Abuna Ruop who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Ruop hasn't dropped below two blocks for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Jazlyn Hubbard, who scored three points along with two blocks.
Cape Henry Collegiate can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Peninsula Catholic 53-7 on the road. The win was just what Cape Henry Collegiate needed coming off of a 67-24 loss in their prior game.
Norfolk Christian's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Everything came up roses for Norfolk Christian against Cape Henry Collegiate in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 65-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Norfolk Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
