The Bethel Bison suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Rogers by a score of 57-55. Bethel has struggled against Rogers recently, as their contest on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Bethel had strong showings from Malik Sidbe, who scored 14 points along with two steals, and Kollie Babbs, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Norman Edwards III, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rogers to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amanna Anusiem, who scored 12 points. Dylan Gilderhus was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Bethel has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Rogers, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Bethel will head out on the road to face off against Puyallup at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rogers, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Franklin at 9:30 a.m. Franklin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Rogers is ranked 128th).
