Sadly, the Emerson Waldorf Gnomes are still looking for their first win of the season after four contests. They took a serious blow against Carolina M on Tuesday, falling 54-22. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Emerson Waldorf in their matchups with Carolina M: they've now lost six in a row.
Carolina M got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abigail Faison out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Catie Alexander, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Emerson Waldorf's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Carolina M, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Emerson Waldorf will take on Cristo Rey Research Triangle at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Cristo Rey Research Triangle comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last ten games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Carolina M, they will head out on the road to square off against Chatham HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
