Hayden is 0-1 against Ramsay since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hayden Wildcats will be playing at home against the Ramsay Rams at 7:00 p.m. Hayden will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Ramsay is ranked 15th).
Last Thursday, Hayden was beaten by Wenonah 49-7. Hayden was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.
Meanwhile, Ramsay got themselves on the board against John Carroll Catholic on Thursday, but John Carroll Catholic never followed suit. They blew past the Cavaliers, posting a 28-0 win on the road. The result was nothing new for Ramsay, who have now won four contests by 28 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Ashton Ashford, who rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Martin, who rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Hayden's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ramsay, their win was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 6-2.
Hayden was dealt a bruising 49-0 defeat at the hands of Ramsay when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Hayden have more luck at home instead of on the road?
