Morgan had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took down the Uintah Utes 53-36. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Morgan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bracken Saunders out in front who went 7-for-15 on his way to 14 points and four steals. Saunders is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jake Hansen, who posted 15 points along with seven assists and five boards.

Morgan's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Uintah, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Morgan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-52 victory against Union on the 13th. Uintah and South Summit will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Utes will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
