The Tulia Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. The  game between Tulia and Sunray wasn't particularly close, with Tulia falling  52-36. Tulia lost against Sunray in their previous head to head  back in November of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the  42-40 score last time.
  Ariadna De la rosa was  her usual excellent self,  scoring 20 points along with eight  rebounds for Sunray. That makes it five consecutive games in which  De la rosa has scored at least 25% of Sunray's points. Another player making a difference was  Carly Neeley, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and 12  rebounds.
 Tulia bumped their record down to 1-8 with that  defeat, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Sunray, they now  have a winning record of 9-8.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tulia will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dalhart at 6:15  p.m.  on January 5, 2024. As for Sunray, they will head out on the road to face off against Groom at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Groom comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
