Softball Recap: Palisades' Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Palisades finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Venice Gondoliers, falling 15-1. The Dolphins' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Palisades saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maylah Cruz, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Palisades' loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Venice, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palisades will venture away from home to take on Hamilton at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Venice, they will head out to square off against Westchester at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Gondoliers will need to watch out since the Comets have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
