Northampton County had a senior duo take command as Charlice Tyner scored eight points along with nine steals and six rebounds and Michaela Hodge scored 19 points along with six rebounds and six blocks. Hodge is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Vincent, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Northwest Halifax blew past Southeast Halifax, posting a 63-26 victory on the road. Given Northwest Halifax's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Southeast Halifax is ranked 588th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northampton County's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Northwest Halifax, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
