Winchester Community's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chloe Barker led the charge by getting eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces Barker has posted since back in October of 2024. Kanyon Page was another key player, getting four aces and three assists.
They weren't the only good servers: Winchester Community was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Muncie Burris took on Frankton on Thursday. The Owls were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Muncie Burris took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-5, 25-14.
Winchester Community's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Muncie Burris, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
