If you haven't heard Long's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past six games. On the defensive end, Clearwater/Orchard got some fancy footwork from senior Clay Thiele, who dodged the offensive line for 3 sacks.
The win was the 6th in a row for Clearwater/Orchard raised their record to 7-1. This is the second loss in a row for Chambers/Wheeler Central/Ewing and nudges their record down to 3-5. Both of these squads appear to be finished for the season, as they have no upcoming games scheduled.
