Paulsboro extended the longest winning streak in Colonial - Patriot this week by beating Lindenwold, 42-16. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Red Raiders.
Paulsboro took down the Lions 42-16 last week, the largest margin of any game. DE'SHAUN BURGESS ran for 130 yards during the win.
Glenn Howard's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. JIMMY SCHMIDT threw for 40 and 1 touchdown and URIEL CLARK had 40 yards receiving. On the ground BURGESS contributed 130 yards.
The Red Raiders' dynamic duo of SCHMIDT and CLARK proved to be unstoppable against Lindenwold, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
BURGESS was a passing and rushing force as Paulsboro bested Derryk Sellers' team.
Paulsboro's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Red Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. AJ GUGEL has thrown for 179 yards and 1 touchdown this season, while STEVEN BAYLOR has 10 catches for 141 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Haddon Township takes on the Red Raiders. As it stands, the Hawks are in fourth, while Paulsboro is in first.
Audubon made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,043 from 10,124. The advance stemmed from a 21-14 victory over Gateway Regional last week.
