Sunlake's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaycie Hyde, who scored 8 points along with 13 steals and 8 rebounds. Hyde is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Alia Dobrzanski, who scored 15 points along with 8 steals.
Despite the loss, Wiregrass Ranch saw an underclassman step up: Andralee Keim scored 16 points along with 9 steals. Keim is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Claire Kelley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals.
Sunlake's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Sunlake will head out on the road to face off against Zephyrhills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Zephyrhills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 257th, while Sunlake is ranked 128th). As for Wiregrass Ranch, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wesley Chapel at 6:00 p.m.
