The Classical Academy Titans will take on the Discovery Canyon Thunder at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
The Classical Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Sierra on Wednesday as they made off with a 25-1 victory. The win was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on three straight.
Zack Hale was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hale was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jack Thomas was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of David St Marie, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
The Classical Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .630. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Discovery Canyon made easy work of Air Academy on Thursday and carried off a 10-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Kadets: they've now won four in a row.
Ryan Egan looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Carson Seeley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Ross, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
The Classical Academy's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Discovery Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. The Classical Academy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.2 home runs per game. However, it's not like Discovery Canyon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
