The Southeast Seminoles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell 37-30 to Palmetto. Southeast has struggled against Palmetto recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Seminoles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zion Mcneal, who scored ten points. Mcneal is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Azharia Jones, who scored nine points.
Palmetto's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sanaii Rich, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Rich continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Zamarria Green was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Southeast has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for Palmetto, they pushed their record up to 13-9 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast will take on Booker at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Booker is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season. As for Palmetto, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Palmetto focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Wednesday.
