They walked away with a 65-52 win over Wyomissing. Given Lampeter-Strasburg's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Spartans are ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lampeter-Strasburg got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chase Smucker out in front who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 0 assists. Smucker is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Justin Glick, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Lampeter-Strasburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Wyomissing, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.
Lampeter-Strasburg will be playing at home against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wyomissing's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Fleetwood will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
