Wahoo is 9-1 against the Trojans since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Wahoo Warriors will be playing at home against the Platteview Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Wahoo faced the Cardinals in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Wahoo fell 90-81 to the Cardinals. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (80), Wahoo still had to take the loss.
Wahoo might have lost, but man, Marcus Glock was a machine: he scored 54 points along with six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Glock has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Simons, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Wahoo struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Platteview was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past the Rams 66-31 at home. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for Platteview this season.
Wahoo's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4. As for Platteview, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Everything went Wahoo's way against the Trojans when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the Warriors made off with a 65-45 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Platteview's Connor Millikan, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for Wahoo to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
