The Seekonk Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. They took a 46-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fairhaven. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Seekonk has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Seekonk lost, one person who can't be blamed is Noah Beausoleil. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Pereira, who scored no points along with four blocks and two steals.
Seekonk has not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Fairhaven, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.
Seekonk will take on Somerset Berkley Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Somerset Berkley Regional is coming into the match with nine straight victories on the road, so Seekonk is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Fairhaven, they will square off against Old Rochester Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
