St. John has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Cavalier Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. John has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 542 points over their last eight games.
St. John can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 80-49 win over Drayton/Valley-Edinburg on the road. Given St. John's advantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Drayton/Valley-Edinburg is ranked 112th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cavalier's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They were beaten by North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] 67-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Cavalier has suffered since December 19, 2023.
St. John is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Cavalier, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.
St. John didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Cavalier when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 56-51 victory.
