It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Beaumont School Blue Streaks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They secured a 52-46 W over Trinity. The win was nothing new for Beaumont School as they're now sitting on six straight.
It was another big night for Mackenizie Callender, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shannon Shea, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Trinity still got an impressive performance from Neva'eh Harrison, who scored 22 points along with six steals. Iniya Charlton was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Beaumont School is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Trinity, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beaumont School's road trip will continue as they head out to face Padua Franciscan at 7:15 p.m. on January 24th. Padua Franciscan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while Beaumont School is ranked 179th). As for Trinity, they will head out on the road to face off against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
