This week's postseason action didn't throw the rankings into complete disarray, but it did reorder the standings a decent amount. We'll dive into that and more in this week's report.
Points Galore
Having stolen a close one from Maine Central Institute in its previous game, Winslow got a taste of its own medicine against Maine Central Institute. Winslow and Maine Central Institute were almost perfectly matched up, but Winslow suffered an agonizing 43 - 42 defeat. Winslow fell despite improving upon an already solid 32-point performance the game before. The combined 85-point effort made this the highest-scoring game in the power rankings for the week.
Look Out Below
After a challenging last week, Leavitt now finds itself down six power ranking positions. No one has a better right to be disappointed since that was the biggest drop of the week. It couldn't have suffered a more disappointing defeat as it lost by a narrow 7 - 6 margin to Gardiner. Leavitt unfortunately couldn't repeat the imposing 48-point effort it came up with in its previous game.
Upcoming Drama
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Falmouth (3rd in the power rankings) and Marshwood (1st). Both teams are rolling into the game after last-week wins. Only one team will win this week, so we'll see which team fails to repeat its success.
