Peyton Robinson spent all 11 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Emmi Harris and Tiffany Van Ginkel did most of the damage at the plate: Harris went 3-for-6 with one triple, one run, and one double, while Van Ginkel went 1-for-4 with one home run. That's the most hits Harris has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Riley Thomas, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Granby was able to grind out a solid win over Ocean Lakes on Tuesday, taking the game 4-1.
Granby also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Kyrsten Wells gave up only one earned run on five hits.
On the hitting side, Kya Harris was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run. Maggie Wood was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.
Lightridge's record now sits at 23-0. As for Granby, their record is now 19-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Lightridge hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Granby struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
