After garnering more than 5,000 votes,
Peyton Harrison of
Atlanta is this week's MaxPreps Texas High School Football Player of the Week.
The junior quarterback completed 15 of 21 pass attempts for 472 yards and seven touchdowns while
adding 61 yards on the ground and another score in a 68-38 win over
Redwater. On the season, Harrison is completing over 70 percent of his throws with nine touchdowns and no interceptions.
Here are the rest of this week's candidates, who collectively earned more than 3,500 votes:

Arik Cuellar,
Mathis: Recorded five tackles
for loss, four sacks and forced a fumble while reaching the end zone on the ground and through the air in a 36-14 win over Taft.

Ray Guillory,
Aledo: Ran the 29 times for 139 yards and four touchdowns in a 48-45 win over Guyer.

Will Hammond,
Hutto: Completed 36 of 58 passes for 719 yards and four touchdowns while adding 88 yards on the ground and six more scores in an 82-80 loss to Liberty Hill.

Logan Jenkins,
Collinsville: Jenkins completed 34 of 44 passes for 463
yards and five touchdowns, scored once on the ground, kicked a 25-yard field goal and converted six point-after kicks in a 51-14 win over Blue
Ridge.

Jett Surratt,
Carthage: Completed 21 of 26 passes for 261 yards and five touchdowns in a 42-7 win over Pittsburg.
