The Notre Dame Pioneers will challenge the Mamou Demons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Notre Dame will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Notre Dame's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Welsh as Notre Dame made off with a 16-0 win. Considering the Pioneers have won 14 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Bella Smith, who gave up just two hits to keep Welsh off the board. The dominant performance also gave Smith a new career-low in walks (zero).

At the plate, Malayna Daigle was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lillian Guidry, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Daigle wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Notre Dame kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Welsh didn't got any hits.
Mamou not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 8th. They blew past Crowley 11-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Demons.
Jaidan Richard was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Richard was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played.
In other batting news, Mamou got a massive performance out of Maddi Savoy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that Savoy launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Lacoste, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Notre Dame's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average this season. As for Mamou, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11-1.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Notre Dame hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .464. However, it's not like Mamou struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Notre Dame's way against Mamou in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Notre Dame made off with a 14-1 win. Does Notre Dame have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mamou turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
