Pendleton Heights hasn't had much luck against Noblesville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Pendleton Heights is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Shelbyville: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Pendleton Heights blew Shelbyville out of the water with a 74-13 final score. The Arabians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Pendleton Heights got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaycie Warfel out in front who went 10 for 16 on her way to 21 points and four steals. Warfel has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 32 times she's played. Adah Hupfer was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Noblesville took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 59-27 win over Anderson. Given the Millers' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Indians are ranked 286th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Pendleton Heights better keep an eye on Meredith Tippner. She was instrumental in Noblesville's win, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Tippner has scored at least a third of Noblesville's points. Another player making a difference was C.C. Quigley, who posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.
Noblesville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.
Noblesville's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Pendleton Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
Pendleton Heights came up short against Noblesville in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 62-49. Can Pendleton Heights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
