Elizabeth is 9-1 against Union since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Elizabeth Minutemen will head out on the road to face off against the Union Farmers at 4:00 p.m. Union took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Elizabeth, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Elizabeth was able to grind out a solid victory over Saddle River Day, taking the game 55-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Elizabeth.
Among those leading the charge was Cameron Mcrae, who scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Siraj Abdellah, who scored seven points along with five assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Union pushed their score all the way to 56 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The game between Union and Phillipsburg wasn't particularly close, with Union falling 72-56.
Elizabeth's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Elizabeth came out on top in a nail-biter against Union in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 42-40. Will Elizabeth repeat their success, or does Union have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
