There's no place like home for the Woodlands Academy Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Wednesday. They took their match at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 50-9 win over Islamic Foundation. With Woodlands Academy ahead 30-2 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Woodlands Academy had a senior duo take command as Regan Stewart scored 14 points along with four steals and two blocks and Abigail Hironimus almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Stewart hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Giulia Gattinoni, who scored four points along with two steals.
Woodlands Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. As for Islamic Foundation, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
Woodlands Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Islamic Foundation does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
