The Cuba Wildcats had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-51 win over Linn. This was payback for Cuba, who suffered a 63-31 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Gus Peters and Noah Hall certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Peters scored 15 points along with four steals, while Hall scored 21 points along with five assists. The matchup was Hall's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zach Hatfield, who scored eight points.
Cuba's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Linn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cuba will be home for the holidays to greet Stoutland at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Stoutland's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Linn, they will be playing at home against Belle at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
